Cowboys of the Silver Screen Official Program

On April 17, 2010 Oklahoma City was honored by hosting the FDC Ceremony for the Cowboys of the Silver Screen stamps. The ceremony, held at the Cowboy Hall of Fame was attended by an estimated 200 people. I was out of town, so my beautiful wife attended for me and told me it was standing room only, although she was lucky enough to get a good seat.

The USPS sold cacheted envelopes, stamps, and even plastic protectors priced at $5 for each single and $7 for the block of 4. So a complete set of 4 singles and the block of 4 cost $27. Just another road block to getting kids into the hobby.
